the Rumors are True
Many of you have heard that the Idaho Weed Conference in 2010 will be held in Burley, Idaho at the Burley Inn. That rumor is true, and we want you to pass it on to your work associates and colleagues. Here are the reasons: Ø Costs for the Nampa Civic Center continue to increase Ø We plotted on a map where our attendance comes from and Burley is more central Ø Lodging detached from the facility limits some of our activities and events Ø The Burley Inn offered us a tremendous deal to move our conference Ø Trying to be sensitive to decreasing county, state and federal budgets, we had to move to keep from increasing registration fees Ø We can offer more to you as the participant for the same registration fee Ø Very reasonable room rates – Burley Inn just completed extensive remodeling Will we look different than we did in Nampa – the answer: YES. Here is our planned schedule: Tuesday, February 2 Meetings for Idaho Association of Weed Control Superintendents Wednesday, February 3 Meetings for the IAWCS until noon Vendor set up begins at 8:00 AM Registration for IWC opens at 10:30 Lunch on your own 1:30 opening of 2010 Idaho Weed Conference 4:30 conclusion of first day 6:00 IWC Awards and Banquet at Burley Inn Thursday, February 4 8:00 opening of second day of IWC Lunch to be served Visit our vendors throughout the day 4:30 Conclusion of 2010 Idaho Weed Conference Lodging will be held from Monday night, February 1 – Thursday night, February 4. Federal and State rates are available to those who meet the requirements and qualify. Keep the rumor mill moving forward and let everyone know that the 2010 Idaho Weed Conference will be held in Burley, Idaho on February 3-4, 2010. See you there.
